BEHOLD OUR GOD…
…is a contemporary hymn by Sovereign Grace – even the band has the perfect name.
This favorite hymn followed us on our journey to China. We included it with our library in hopes of sharing it with friends we met along the way.
It wasn’t long after our arrival, when my husband’s hope was realized.
We sang it often in our apartment with our sweet Jan.
A new neighbor-friend joined us in song.
We shared it with the English Corners culture night on a Friday evening at our favorite coffee shop.
Behold Our God gave comfort during those months across the Ocean.
Now, since our return, our soul has greater appreciation mixed with unforgettable memories as we worship at our home church services.
Behold Our God, Seated on His throne
Come let us adore him.
Behold our King – Nothing can compare
Come, let us adore him.
It’s our song, I tell Jan in my emails. It’s the song that knits us together because worship does that.
When listening to this particular recording – voices resonate their awe and reverence to God. An awe that is felt and encompassed by His warm embrace. Worship does that.
Arms lifted to the heavens drawing the worshiper into His presence. This will be heaven one day – voices from around the world – lifted up, singing praises and adoration. How can we ignore His glory?
Music engages the soul. A creation of sounds and melodies. Can you hear it? Do you sense His presence and glory?
Who can question God exists? He’s right here – now. Worship with me.
