My passport and travel visa arrived today!
It’s real! That thrill went through my body. Seeing that official stamp showing I can travel in a foreign country. Ninety days!
Reality is slowly sinking in. Anxiety interrupts my sleep.
Last night we were with a group of friends – each sharing in prayer and fellowship. Two families present are also leaving about the same time we are, but, for different parts of the world. These are young families. Their plans are for long term….sobering.
There’s those subtle hints of fear that creep in. I listen, softly chuckling, as one young wife had a moment of “remind me why we’re doing this?” Exactly.
Fear tends to redirect our focus, doesn’t it?
Ron read to this young wife from the Book of Isaiah the same passage I wrote a few days ago. She told us this was the exact portion of encouragement she and her husband leaned on as well.
Pray for our fear and anxiety. Perfect love casts out all fear – casting all our anxieties on Him for He cares for us.
